A: Make sure you leave a few extra minutes before the massage starts to fill out your health history forms. You can fill the forms out in advance and bring them to your first appointment. We will discuss your goals for your overall wellness and for that day’s session. This process gets more efficient as we build our therapeutic partnership. I adhere to the ethics and scope of practice of my profession which includes conservative draping, adhering to HIPAA laws, and working within my educational boundaries. Leave a few extra minutes for after the massage so we can talk about how you are feeling after the session, answer any questions that you may have, and give you time to book your next appointment. After a relaxing and healing session, the last thing I want is to make you feel rushed.
Then don’t. Hey listen, the last thing massage should do is make you uncomfortable. If the piece about removal of clothing is keeping you away from the benefits of massage, but you are not apprehensive about receiving therapeutic touch by a licensed practitioner, we can make it work.
A: Yes absolutely.
